What Is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy was first developed in the 1800’s. A Medical Doctor, Dr. Andrew Taylor Still, discovered that balancing the body and releasing restrictions in the tissues allowed his patients to heal faster from injury and illness as well as improved their immune function.

It has certainly evolved since the 1800’s, but remains a type of therapy that looks at the body as a whole and understanding the interconnectivity of all the body’s systems. Fascia release, Craniosacral therapy, Osteoarticular adjustments, and Visceral manipulation are used to gently adjust muscles, soft tissues, bones, joint capsules, and internal organs into proper alignment.

How I work

I integrate these osteopathic practices with Chinese Medicine principles, energetic healing, and my own intuition to make sure each of my clients receives a personalized treatment specific to their needs.
